Get ample sleep :
Your workday starts the night before, so it is essential to get at least 6.5 to 7 hours sleep which is believed to be optimum and makes you feel less tired in the morning. Sleep deprivation can cause a slow reaction, slurred speech, and lower cognitive function. Also, you will end up looking like a heck. So catch up with your sleep that’s the first change you need to bring to your lifestyle.
Wake up happy :
Good mental health and physical health go hand in hand. So it is essential to look forward to something that makes you happy every morning. For most of us it could be a hot cup of coffee or tea, and for others, it could be a quick walk, job or yoga, etc, so start the day with what you love the most and witness your day blossom into endless possibilities. Adding on, bring positivity to your workspace too, one way to do so is by putting up sticky notes at your desk.
Drink a lot of water :
Mild dehydration can cause fatigue, moodiness, and problem in focusing on your tasks. Drink lots of water and stay high in spirits. Researchers say it is vital to drink at least 8 glasses of water in a day. So go on get your drinking game up!
Schedule a walking meeting :
If it is a quick meet-up, then it’s better to lace up and take meetings on a stroll. This way you can stretch your muscles, feel motivated and most importantly the fresh air and a change in the environment can make your creative juices flow.
Stay away from heels on regular workdays :
Ladies, you may love heels, but according to a study published in ‘The Journal of Applied Physiology,’ researchers state that long term high heels can disturb the muscle efficiency of your calf muscles. On regular workdays go for bellies or flat slip-on and use heels for occasions.
Take breaks :
Take frequent breaks, walk around, stand up while working, all this will keep your spirits high and can also increase productivity. Also, ditch the elevators and take the stairs for a change once in a while. Ensure to carry some healthy nuts whenever you can to much on in your breaks.
